About

This website was created as project for Clio Wired, Theory and Practice of Digital History, a graduate course at George Mason University, Fairfax, VA.

The objective of this project and website is to create a geolocated digital exhibit exploring the capture and burning of Washington, DC, by the British in August 1814. Ideally, the site would be structured in a way that facilitates ease of viewing on mobile phones, allowing visitors to access historical information while in situ, experiencing the historical landscape of the national capitol in a new way and bringing new light to an underrepresented event in its history.
